Where are we located?

Our address & driving directions

Fias Co Farm is located in North/Eastern Tennessee:  Near Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia

Fias Co Farm is a small dairy goat farm, graphic design studio, and producer of herbal products, located in Mooresburg, North East Tennessee. We maintain a closed herd of 24 adult LaMancha goats. Each year, I milk about 4-5 does, by hand, once a day. This provides us with all our household milk and daily products (such as cheese, butter & yogurt). We are not a professional dairy, and do not sell our cheeses or other dairy products. We do sell a few goats each year as milkers and as pets/companions. We do not sell goats for meat or meat related purposes.

We do not give farm tours at this time. If you are interested in purchasing a goat from us and would like to visit our small farm to see our goats, please arrange an appointment first via email - PLEASE, DO NOT just "drop in" without contacting us first.

PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE ME WITH QUESTIONS. I will not answer questions over the phone <period>. If you wish to discuss purchasing a goat and you need our telephone number, please contact me . We have had to remove our number from our web site due to people calling us at all hours.

We are a 45 minute drive east of Knoxville; 45 minute drive west of Kingsport.
It takes 4.5 hours to drive to Charleston, WV.
It's a little less than a 3 hour drive to Chattanooga, TN;  2 hours to Asheville, NC.

The above map is of the north/east end on Tennessee.
We are located at the tip of the red arrow.
The map below is a zoom-in/close-up view of the above map.
Please note: I have drawn in Slate Hill Road on the map below, so don't expect to see it on other maps.

Driving Directions:
(it is very easy to get here)

DO NOT USE MAPQUEST for direction to our farm; their directions are very hard to follow.
Use the directions below, they are much easier.

From the West, South or South East:

From Interstate 40 & 81

Take 25E North, the Morristown Exit (exit 8 at White Pine).

Drive North past Morristown toward Bean Station. As you near Bean Station there will be an Exit for 11W North toward Rogersville. (please note: In Morristown, you will pass an exit for 11E. Don't be confused and take this road, this is not the road you want; you want 11W.)

Take 11W North toward Rogersville. As you get off at this exit there will be a stop light. Keep going straight (on 11W), through this light (but make sure to stop if it is red).

Three miles past this light you will see an Exxon on your left. This is your landmark. Keep going (straight on 11W) past this Exxon and the very next Right is Slate Hill Road.

Take a Right onto Slate Hill Road. Continue up Slate Hill just a little shy of a mile. On the right you will see a 2 1/2 story red barn with white trim with a large round metal sign on it that reads "Lay or Bust". This is our barn. Our house is the very next house, past the barn, on the right with the blue MINI Cooper in the driveway.

From the North East:

From Bristol / Virginia

Follow 11W South-West toward Kingsport.
Continue on 11W toward Rogersville.

Once you pass Rogersville, in about 10-13 miles you will pass over a plain highway bridge over Poor Valley Creek. Sometimes there is water here, sometimes there isn't much.
(There is one light in Rogersville on 11W. The bridge is 14 miles from that light)

Once you pass over this plain highway bridge, count roads to the left.

Our road, Slate Hill Road, is the fourth (4th) road to the left. This road is one mile from the bridge.
There is a large driveway, with a gate, do not count that as a road.
The fourth road, Slate Hill, comes up real quick just barely over a small rise in the highway, so don't miss it. If you come to the Exxon, you have gone too far, so turn around and take the very first right.

From the North West:

From Knoxville / Kentucky

Follow 11W North-East (from Knoxville)(11W is also called Rutledge Pike)
or
25E South-East (from Kentucky).
These two roads merge together in Bean Station.

In Bean Station, a couple miles after the two roads merged together, there will be an Exit for 11W North toward Rogersville.
