We were having a problem getting our girls (our doe goats) and our 2 mini-donkeys to eat their herbal wormer when we put it on their food. They would somehow eat their grain "around" the herbal powder, thus wasting it. So, I ordered the Slippery Elm Bark Powder and made the dosage balls according to Molly's recipe (added a bit of water and a tad more molasses to make it bind better), and WOW! All of them just LOVE their dosage balls! If you're experiencing similar issues, I would highly recommend getting Molly's Slippery Elm Bark Powder and making the dosage balls according to her recipe. My animals just love it!
We find many uses for Slippery Elm Bark. Besides it being an excellent addition to the wormer balls we also use it when an animal is having diarrhea. It appears to coat and soothe the gut. I have priced it at our local herb shop and Molly's is less expensive even considering the cost of shipping.
